Denzel Ward

Denzel Ward was the fourth pick in the draft, and his selection carries the weight of heavy expectations.

He’s going to be tasked with covering some of the great receivers in the game, starting with Antonio Brown in Week 1.

Talk about trial by fire.

No one expects Ward to completely shut out the likes of Brown and A.J. Green in his first month wearing an orange helmet, but he has to do enough to justify being taken that high, especially considering the swing-and-a-miss the Browns made on Justin Gilbert in 2014.

Ohio State’s developed a reputation for delivering game changing defensive backs to the NFL.

All eyes will be on Ward to see if that trend continues.
