4. Simeon Thomas, CB

The Cleveland  Browns seemed obsessed with cornerbacks. Despite it being one of the stronger position groups, the team isn’t satisfied to stand pat, evidenced by their willingness to workout former Bengals corner Adam “Pacman” Jones.

Simeon Thomas is a taller corner, listed at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. He’s really fast, but he was a late-round pick for a reason.

Jamming receivers at the line of scrimmage may be a problem for him, but on the flip side, he may show coaches something when covering taller receivers going down field.

He also has experience in off-man and zone coverage, according to NFL Spin Zone’s Peter Smith.

Cleveland’s obsession with corners may be indicative of something defensive coordinator Gregg Williams wants to try by flooding passing lanes with defenders while setting loose a pass rush starring Myles Garret and Emmanuel Ogbah.

The Browns drafted Thomas in the sixth round of last spring’s draft using the pick acquired from the Washington Redskins for quarterback Kevin Hogan.
