2. The Callaway Cloud

It was awkward to watch Antonio Callaway go about practice with the ginormous gray cloud that was legal trouble from a traffic stop the night before.

Callaway wasn’t acting like himself and the coaches knew it.

Hue Jackson asked the rookie if he was all right, even letting him know that his office was open.

Todd Haley really sensed something was wrong, saying Callaway looked like a “puppy dog” just moments after he got done explaining how big this moment was for the fourth-round pick.

The Browns really had no clue that the receiver they had just promoted to the first team got cited for a suspended license while also having marijuana found under the seat of his car.

The crux of this drama came minutes later, when coach Hue Jackson and GM John Dorsey brought Callaway into the office for a sit down.

Dorsey informed Callaway, who was wearing his backpack while sitting down, to take it off because this conversation was going to take some time.

Dorsey and Hue got Callaway’s side of the story, but then seemed more genuinely upset the first-year wideout didn’t bother to let anyone know.

You can understand Dorsey’s attitude. He went out on a limb to draft Callaway, and talked about the infrastructure the Browns have in place to work with troubled players.
