Devon Cajuste, TE

Seth DeValve has been sidelined most of camp with a quad injury and despite returning to practice on Sunday, the tight end out of Harvard missed the final practice before the Bills game.

It’s unclear if Devalve will play against the Giants, but it’d be in his interest to get out there.

DeValve’s absence assures David Njoku of playing a more prominent role in the offense and almost guarantees him a starter’s spot.

Longshot Devon Cajuste will also benefit from DeValve’s absence, as more opportunities will be available for the “Hard Knocks” star in Week 2.

DeValve missed about seven or eight days and wasn’t showing out when he got on the field. Darren Fells is known more as a blocker and has been an inconsistent pass catcher to this point.

That leaves room for Cajuste to continue to make a name for himself.

Fans saw the life of the longshot on Tuesday during “Hard Knocks” when Cajuste clearly injuries his shoulder. Coming of the contest was never an option though for a guy who’s already been cut by two teams.
