Cleveland Browns: 5 bold predictions for the 2018 season
By Ryan Rosko
Does Hue last all of 2018?
Hue Jackson cannot go back in time and fix his mistakes. He is lucky to have a third season with the Browns despite them, but then again since he was not making the calls for talent acquisition, it does kind of make sense.
Now with a roster filled with more talent across the board, there is no excuse for Jackson to continue with his poor results. Should Cleveland start off slow then Jackson should be fired before the trade deadline (Week 8).
However, with games against the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, early on, and other potentially toss-up games, later on, Cleveland should end up winning two of those three games. That is great and all and it will, in fact, be enough.
Crazy right? Well, not necessarily, considering how the last two seasons played out. Jackson remains the head coach for the duration of 2018 but this season is also his last.
The Haslams decide to move on from Jackson no matter the final record and allows Dorsey to hire his own coach. Not only that but ownership also lets Dorsey hire that coach under the traditional setup where the coach reports to the general manager.
