Pass blocking

The offensive line has kind of taken a beating over the last two weeks. Week 1 was warranted, but I thought they played better against the Saints.

Their play didn’t help with the running game, but the unit is actually doing a really solid job in pass blocking situations.

Hopefully, the line will open some more holes, but they’ve got to protect Taylor, who can be prone to taking sacks.

Jets’ coach Todd Bowles loves to dial up a good blitz, and the unit has shown a tendency to get pressure from its down lineman, which makes even more imperative the Browns amp up their protection.

To do this, Cleveland can do two things: 1, block against the run better. This keep the defense on their heels a little bit. 2, Taylor’s got to show an ability to stretch the field earlier in the game. Defenses will have no reason not to stack the box if Tyrod’s just going to dink and dunk.
