Jarvis Landry
The fourth quarter catch by Jarvis Landry…what can you say other than “Wow!”
The reception set up short touchdown run from Carlos Hyde.
Landry had a surprising drop late in the game on an easy throw, but for the most part, the guy does what many a Browns receiver hasn’t been able to do: Catch the ball.
It sounds so simple, yet so many have made it seem like an impossible task.
You understand why the Browns traded for him and rewarded him with a five-year, $75 million contract.
Landry benefited form Mayfield coming into the game, because the offense was dead with Taylor under center.
Landry caught eight balls for 103 yards, his second 100-yard receiving game of the year. He was targeted 15 times and obviously possesses a rapport with Mayfield.
He also had the beautiful left-handed throw on the “Cleveland Special” to tie the game 14.
With 20 catches on season,Landry’s been as advertised. He is well on pace to notch his fourth 100-yard reception campaign in five years.
