Damion Ratley, WR

This is a bummer to write because you root for guys like Damion Ratley. He’s a longshot to make it in the NFL, but he’s fought to keep himself on an NFL roster and because of numerous injuries, the  Browns needed wideouts.

He had a huge drop on what should’ve been a second-quarter touchdown. It might not be ruled a drop in the sat book, but it should be. Mayfield put the ball right where it needed to be.

The sixth-round pick also had some costly penalties.

Most notably, Ratley was flagged for holding on Nick Chubb‘s long touchdown run, costing the Browns 10-yards of important field position. He also drew a flag on a nice punt return from Jabrill Peppers.

The struggle to walk the fine line between being on roster and cut makes you appreciate what Derrick Willies did during the Ravens win. The guy made plays and put his team in a position to win.

Ratley did the opposite.
