1. It’s Mayfield, not Taylor this time

The Cleveland Browns are a different team since the last time these two squads met in Week 1.

Josh Gordon is no longer lining up at receiver, but more importantly, Baker Mayfield, and not Tyrod Taylor will be the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback in this Week 8 contest.

Despite being handcuffed by Todd Haley’s offense against the Buccaneers for all of the first half, the rookie managed to overcome the Cleveland Browns’ coaching ineptitude to turn in a good game.

Mayfield completed 23 of 34 passes for 21 5 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

And while everyone, and perhaps rightfully so, gets scared of Pittsburgh’s defense, the Steelers are more than capable of getting torched in the secondary.

Look no further than the Browns’ Week 1 tie to Pittsburgh. Cleveland wideouts had Pittsburgh’s secondary beat. If Tyrod Taylor had completed some throws, the Browns probably win the game.

Pittsburgh’s defense ranks 23rd overall and the defense ranks 27th.
