1. Mike McCarthy, Packers

When it comes to connecting the dots, look no further than Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

McCarthy has ties to GM John Dorseys‘ top lieutenants, Alonzo Highsmith and assistant GM Elliot Wolf.

And in his current job, things aren’t going great.

Aaron Rodgers recently openly criticized the offense. The Packers sold before the trade trade deadline, trading safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix to Washington and running back Ty Montgomery to the Ravens.

Green Bay looks poised to go for a fresh start this season behind Rodgers, who just signed a mega-multi-million dollar extension, and not McCarthy.

In hiring McCarthy, the Browns would be acquiring a head coach with big game experience who’s won on the game’s biggest stage (McCarthy coached the Packers during their Super Bowl XLV victory).

Perhaps this could be the Browns’ “Andy Reid” move. The Eagles parted ways with Reid after a great degree of success, but through organization fatigue, let’s call it, the franchise finally moved on.

Reid landed in Kansas City and after a few playoff seasons, he’s commanding the hottest team in football.
