3. Starting Harrison

Desmond Harrison came out of nowhere to start at left tackle.

He was once a highly touted prospect who signed with Texas, before off the field trouble led to his dismal from the Longhorns.

Harrison saved his football career by signing up with Division II West Georgia. He went undrafted, but the Browns saw his 6-foot-6 athletic prowess and decided to take a chance.

In really a rags to riches story, Harrison went from an undrafted free agent to the starting left tackle for an NFL team, who replaced a future Hall of Fame.

Harrison may turn out to be a very good player. He’s had some nice moments this year, but as of late, he seems to always be pushed back into the pocket, forcing Mayfield to scramble or putting the rookie in a position get sacked.

Yes, Harrison is 6-6, but he’s under 300 pounds. He really needs a year with the Browns’ strength and conditioning team.

The decision to start Harrison this season has really been questioned the past two weeks, when former No. 2 overall pick Greg Robinson has started at tackle. The Auburn product is considered a bust, but he’s been holding his own on the offensive line, constantly drawing the praise of quarterback Baker Mayfield.

This is  Robinson’s fifth pro season. He has the size and the veteran where-with-all, and not to mention talent, to get by.
