5. Hakeem Butler, Iowa State
At 6-foot-6, Hakeem Butler‘ size can’t go unnoticed.
And while he’s got the size and strength, he’s not exactly burner.
Still, with a guy that size, Baker Mayfield would be throwing into a pretty big catch radius.
He’s coming off a 60-yard, 1,318-yard, nine touchdown season for the Cyclones. His 22-yards per catch average was he third best total in FBS. He accounted for six, 50-yard plays in his final season in Acmes.
Butler was named to Bruce Feldman’s “Freak list”, a column in which the writer noted how coaches rave about his nimbleness, as well as his hips, making him a factor out of the slot.
The slot’s a position usually reserved for smaller guys, not guys who are 6-6. Imagine a small slot corner being boxed out by Butler on a slant. With Mayfield throwing, you can imagine.
This video of Calvin Johnson coaching up Butler on Calvin Johnson is worth watching, just because of the size comparisons.

Butler is far from the prospect Megatron was, but you can’t teach size.
