Browns picks, rounds 3-7

Here are the rest of the Browns picks.

80. Justin Layne-CB-Michigan St., Another Cleveland native, Layne used to play receiver, so he just seems to have a feel for when the football is coming, which isn’t true of every corner.

119. Yodny Cajuste-T-West Virginia, His stock was higher during the college season, but it’s clear he needs some polishing. Fortunately, Cleveland doesn’t need him right away. This is the same team that redshirted second-round pick Austin Corbett a season ago. They can leave Cajuste to marinate on the sidelines.

144. John Cominsky-DE-Charleston, Native of Barberton, Ohio used to play quarterback in high school, so we’re talking about an athletic prospect.

155. Jalin Moore-RB-Appalachian St., Browns seem set at running back, but nothing is set in stone because you could open up Twitter tomorrow and see that the Browns cut Kareem Hunt.

It’s been reported he’s been doing well, but he’s still out for eight games. The Browns have Nick Chubb, Johnson and Dontrell Hilliard ready for camp. Moore offers another body and you just never know…

170. Dax Raymond-TE-Utah St., Whether the Browns draft a tight end came down to the question of when, not if. IN this case, it’s Raymond. He’ll be 24 in his rookie season and would have a legit shot to make the roster, even as a fifth-round pick.

189. Sutton Smith-LB-Northern Illinois, At 6-foot, 233 pounds, he’s undersized for the EDGE. But when talking production, there’s no denying the 65 quarterback pressures he totaled in 2018, the second-most in FBS college football.

221. Brett Rypien-QB-Boise St, Give him a clean pocket, and he’s stellar, with 91.8 grade, according to PFF.
