3. Greg Joseph

When the Browns spend a draft pick on a kicker, you better believe that rookie’s going to get a shot to start. It’s not a lock Oklahom’s Austin Seibert knocks off Greg Joseph, but he’s going to be given everyopportunity to show why he was worth a fifth-round pick.

Seibert looks to be trending in the right direction, as ESPN’s Jake Trotter reported that the rookie’s leg “impressed” during Cleveland’s minicamp, which was conducted in June.

Joseph was signed during the 2018 season after Zane Gonzalez struggled, costing the Browns two wins in the victory column.

Jopseh was fine in time with the Browns, but there’s certainly room for improvement.

The question comes down to this: With the game on the line, do you trust Joseph to make a 47-yard field goal?

The answer is no. But fans shouldn’t be screaming yes for an unproven rookie, either.

Seibert needs opportunity to kick longer field goals during preseason games because he never really had to show off his length while in college.

Oklahoma scored too many touchdowns and 50-yard touchdowns just weren’t something the Sooners had to settle for.
