Cleveland Browns: 6 players whose stock is up after Redskins win
6. Terrance Mitchell, CB
Terrance Mitchell forced a fumble with 13:26 remaining in the second quarter after Dwayne Haskins hooked up with Darvin Kidsy.
Following the draft, Mitchell was often forgot following Cleveland’s selection of Greedy Williams, but tonight, he flashed the skills that contributed in the Browns being takeaway monsters last season.
Williams may get the No. 2 spot out of camp, or maybe he won’t. Either way, both players are going to play a ton. Mitchell is a really good player. He forced two fumbles a season ago, but started just eight games.
Mitchell worked his way into the consciousness of Browns’ fans last season when he aggressively battled Jarvis Landry on episode of “Hard Knocks.”
There’s a lot to like about Mitchell. Hopefully, he can stay on the field while keeping the takeaway train chugging.
