Cleveland Browns: 7 Browns whose stock is down after Colts win
5. Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi
It hurts to write it, but Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi was uneventful in his second game as Brown. He got a couple of opportunities to return punts, but didn’t display any time of electricity.
The box score said two return attempts for 8 yards. At least he didn’t fumble. Seriously.
Sheehy goes on this list after the Chronicle-Telegram’s Scott Petrak said he didn’t think Sheehy was on the roster “right now,” just days after his 86-yard return.
If he didn’t do anything with his next opportunity, how could his stock have jumped?
Sheehy was second on the depth chart returning punts, as Dontrell Hilliard was out. D’Ernest Johnson was given an opportunity on special teams, but didn’t come close to producing as much he did in his role as running back.
A good game might’ve, at the very least, helped him crawl up his way on the depth chart.
There are still two games left and Seehy will have more opportunities. Believe me, the coaches still haven’t forgotten what he did against the Redskins. However, he’s shown nothing as a receiver.
Sheehy is an exciting player and we’re all captivated everytime he touches the ball. Hopefully he flashes one more jolt that gets him closer to a roster spot.
