5. Rams have some vulnerable spots

Offensively, the Rams have Jared Goff and stellar wideouts in Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Connor Kupp.

But McVay may miss a starting offensive lineman due to injury for the first time in his Rams’ career as starting right guard Austin Blythe‘s ankle forced the lineman to leave last week’s blowout win.

At center, the Rams have been starting center Brian Allen, who replaced John Sullivan after LA’s run to the Super Bowl a season ago.

You’ve already read about the Browns’ defensive line, so this news bodes well for the Browns’ front four defensive lineman. We saw in the Super Bowl, that the way to beat Goff is to ramp up the pressure and not bit on the play-action fake.

Todd Gurley‘s usage also will be worth watching, as the public wonders if he knee is truly healthy (The Rams insist it is). That said, Gurley has not been used heavily, rushing the ball just 30 times for 160 yards. McVay may just be preserving his legs.

Malcom Brown is playing well in a reserve role and like Gurley, is averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

Together, they have the Rams averaging 140 rushing yards per game. Is this number inflated because LA’s been fortunate to run the clock out in those aforementioned blowout victories.

Hopefully, we’ll find out what the Rams rushing attack is made of, with a closer game being played at FirstEnergy Stadium.
