The CBS broadcasters were throwing a little shade at Nick Chubb early in the second half, stating how he had been ineffective to the point.

Their point was well taken because Chubb was averaging fewer than 3.0 yards per rush. Browns fans no better to waver, though. The mere threat of a rushing attack does wonders for this offense, and Chubb can wear a defense down, as he displaying on his beautiful 88-yard touchdown run.

Chubb ran the ball 20 times in a game for the first time this season. All the carries resulted in 165 yards for and three touchdowns.

PFF focused credited Chubb with being so good, that he was basically breaking a tackle on every touch.

The best part about Chubb’s game was that his 88-yard run came in the fourth quarter. It was a knockout punch and left no clue as to who would reign victorious. Plus, that’s how game sin the AFC North should be won. The Browns “outphysicalled” the run, evidenced by the brilliant job Eric Kush and J.C. Tretter did pulling on the play.

Chubb then turned up the speed. The Ravens tried to contain to the outside, and they did. Then, as this diagram shows, Chubb didn’t need the outside.
