You’ve got to love the player who appears on this list one week, as Jermaine Whitehead did a week ago, but then rebounds with a much needed good game.

Whitehead flat out made plays on a day the secondary was still banged up as Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams continue to recover from hamstring problems.

Whitehead intercepted a Jackson target for Mark Andrews and also hit the quarterback’s arm on the pass that fell into the arms of Devaroe Lawrence toward the end of the game.

He and Joe Schobert delivered the shock-and-awe hits on Mark Ingram, which caused a fumble that was recovered by Chad Thomas in the third quarter.

This wasn’t huge because it was the Ravens’ first offensive turnover of the year, rather, it was stellar because the Browns got the ball back and march back the other way 74 yards on a drive that resulted in a touchdown.

In addition to his interception, Whitehead also deflected another pass and was credited with seven tackles.
