I don’t like putting coaches on here, but facts are facts: Kitchens stock is way down.

Near the end of the first half, the Browns had the ball on their own 10 with about 1:30 remaining. The broadcasters were talking about milking the clock and not letting Russell Wilson get the ball back, especially since Seattle got the ball after halftime.

What do the Browns do? Snap the ball with 20 seconds on the play clock.

What causes career football men to lose their minds when they take on the title of “head coach.” The Browns certainly have a knack for finding them. Kitchens obviously knows a ton of football, but how could the dude in the Dawg Pound who is 10 Busch Light’s in known this is a bad idea, but Kitchens doesn’t.

The goal line debacle in the third is also face falm worthy.

On 3rd and goal from 1, Freddie dials up a fade to OBJ. I hate that play. When does it ever work. Mayfield didn’t even keep it in bounds. For a team that struggles inside the five, the Browns wasted a play.

Then, Freddie challenges the Landry touchdown. Not one second of the broadcast footage suggested Landry crossed the plane. Landry was reportedly pressuring Freddie to challenge the call as the Browns were running a play. As Nick Chubb was standing in the end zone, the play was blown dead because Kitchens threw the challenge flag.

Freddie lost (of course he did), then proceeded to run the same play. Disaster. Chubb was ripped down by the facemask, but of course the zebras didn’t flag that one. Doesn’t matter, another disaster for the first-year head coach.

These are the types of things you can’t gauge in an interview and shows how risky the Kitchens hire was. It may be hard for a lot of fans to admit because Freddie oozes Cleveland’s blue collar attitude. He’s in over his head, but there’s no turning back now.
