1. It’s Brandon Allen

The Browns are catching a break similar to that of the one they caught against the Jets. Denver’s starting quarterback, Joe Flacco, is out, and Allen, a player whose never taken a regular-season snap is under center.

Thank goodness Flacco isn’t playing. Despite a career that’s trending in the wrong direction, the former Raven owns a 17-3 record against the Browns. While things aren’t going his way, be thankful he’s not getting the opportunity to get win No. 18.

On a conference call, embattled Denver head coach Vic Fangio admitted that they don’t really know what they have in Allen, who turned pro in 2015.

Allen is a former sixth-round pick by the Jaguars. He also had a stint with the Rams before landing in Denver. He played collegiately at Arkansas.

This game is shaping up like what the Browns encountered in Week 2 against the Jets. With Sam Darnold out, New York was forced to play Luke Faulk. Despite that game doing down as a win, it was still frustrating because Cleveland should’ve won by 40.
