Picks 6-10

6. Atlanta Falcons, Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State: Jeffrey Okudah cements Ohio State’s status as “DBU.” Okudah has allowed a completion percentage of just 44 percent while wearing Scarlet and Gray. Atlanta’s a mess and will likely be hiring a coach come January. The selection of Okudah strengthens a weak defense.

7. Cleveland Browns, Tristan Wirfs, OT,  Iowa: Tristan Wirfs may not be the No. 1 tackle on draft boards, but so far, he looks like a pretty good runner-up. Wirfs has allowed just six pressures on 304 pass blocking snaps, according to PFF.

The Browns probably tipped their hand on what they view as the most important part of their 2020 offseason when they extended J.C. Tretter. With Tretter  Joel Bitonio locked down, Dorsey has to upgrade the other spots.

You’ve got to like that Wirfs comes from the Big Ten and has played for someone like Kirk Ferentz. Hopefully that pedigree stabalizes a position that’s been the squeeky wheel ever since Joe Thomas retired after the 2017 season.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama: Bruce Arians can’t even salvage Jameis Winston. As the Bucs look more and more likely to move on, Tua Tagovaoila makes sense.

9. Denver Broncos, Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU: The strength of the Broncos remains its defense. John Elway can strengthen the defensive backfield with the election of Fulton.

10. Arizona Cardinals, Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn: The Cardinals and first-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury are surprising many with Kyler Murray under center. With the offense coming along, Arizona gives some attention to its defense, adding Brown, a player 6-foot-5 300+ pounder capable of causing havoc on the interior.
