4. Chubb and Hunt

When Baker Mayfield throws the balls fewer than 31 times, the Browns are 5-1. You know where this is going: More Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, please.

Browns fans were treated to a healthy dose of the backfield duo, and hopefully, there will be more as the season progresses and the Browns fight to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Chubb and Hunt touched the ball a combined 33 times against Buffalo and 39 times against the Steelers. Against Pittsburgh,  Chubb was on the field for 51 snaps and Hunt 39, respectively.

In the two games they’ve been together, Chubb’s rushed 47 times for 208 yards and two scores. He’s caught just two passes–both coming against Buffalo–for five yards.

Hunt’s rushed 10 times for 42 yards and caught 13 passes for 90 yards.

Ideally, coach Freddie Kitchens will knock it off with empty backfield sets near the goal line and get creative with Chubb and Hunt near the goal line.

While Mayfield is playing better, life can get even easier for the second-year veteran with defenses on its heels worrying about stopping Cleveland’s scary running back tandem.
