1. Sione Takitaki

Sione Takitaki appears to be a high-energy player, but the enthusiasm he projects hasn’t resulted in production.

Things got so bad for Takitaki, he was replaced by Malcom Smith when defensive coordinator Joe Woods went to a 4-2-5 scheme.

Pro Football Focus credited Takitaki with missing tackles while posting a 53.1 game grade. Anything below a 59 is considered “replaceable.”

It’s not exactly a surprise to see Takitaki struggle in the early going, and it makes you wonder why Cleveland’s front office rejected adding more help at the position group during Training Camp, and then during final cuts.

Takitaki barely got on the field as a rookie and then a ton of expectations were unfairly placed on him in year two, as he’s clearly not up to snuff yet.

Lack of a true offseason might have something to do with that. He’s only played two games, but the BYU product is more of a problem, than a solution.
