3. Avery Williamson, ILB for late-round pick

In keeping with the theme of defense, the Jets are obvious sellers as the team sets it sights on Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick.

Williamson is just two seasons removed from a stellar campaign, in which he recorded a 120 tackles. He added four sacks an an interception. He graded out with a mark of 85.9 from Pro Football Focus.

Williamson’s follow-up campaign never was, though, as he tore his ACL in training camp.

He’s back now, but with a current grade of 69.3, according to Pro Football Focus. All things considered, only Malcom Smith has a grade above 70, so yeah, Williamson would bring value to the depth chart.

For the current campaign, Williamson had 26 tackles and an interception through five games.

Besides Smith, Cleveland’s other linebackers have been suspect to this point. Mack Wilson is still working his way back from injury and graded out in the 30s during the Steelers shellacking.

Sione Takitaki is young and inexperienced, and while he has potential, he looks like a third-round pick who basically redshirted during his rookie campaign.
