DJ Chark

DJ Chark is a Pro Bowl wide receiver. Yup, the young man that barely broke 1,000 career yards at LSU, and whose name sounds like a children’s DJ who only plays Baby Shark, is a Pro Bowl receiver. Let that sink in. If Gardner Minshew is back in the lineup, then Chark is going to be someone to worry about. He’s as tall as most tight ends (6’4”), and apparently runs a 4.34, 40-yard dash.

Oh, and Denzel Ward is expected to miss a few weeks due to a calve issue. Talk about the wrong time to have one of your two best defensive players get hurt. At this point, Chark will be matched up against Terrence Mitchell and will be able to wreck him all game. Mitchell’s been picked on all year, and that doesn’t look to change against the Jaguars. Especially if Chark is the one lined up against him.

Through this year, Chark has 41 catches, for 534 yards, four touchdowns, and 28 first-down catches. His 13-yards per reception is already going to be a problem with a healthy Ward, but now things are just going to get ugly. The only hope is that the Jaguars line falls apart under constant pressure from the Browns front four, otherwise Chark could really do some damage.

Thankfully the Jaguars are 6th in the league in most sacks allowed, so expect the Browns to gorge on the Jaguars, just like they did on the Eagles.
