Browns players who could be alternates for the Pro Bowl

(If someone got hurt, these names could get called)

Andy Janovich

Anthony Sherman and Patrick Ricard aren’t going back to the Pro Bowl this year, not with the way their teams have run the ball. The Browns, conventionally, have been much better at running the ball, while the Ravens are getting Lamar Jackson to get them yards rushing out of passing situations. So their fullback hasn’t done nearly as much this year as last. Not only has his run blocking be valuable, but his special teams play may warrant him a spot as well. He’s a do-everything type of player.

Sheldon Richardson

A very streaky player, Sheldon Richardson hasn’t done much this year. He’s got 53 tackles and four sacks, and that’s about it. There is always a chance that a few of the defensive tackles ahead of him end up getting hurt or being unable to go, so it’s always possible he gets a call after the fact.

Jarvis Landry

If Jarvis Landry can break two big games against the Giants and Jets, then it’s extremely possible that Landry breaks 1,000 yards for the year. Looking at his past years’ stats, he’s made the Pro Bowl with far less impressive numbers. So it’s entirely possible.

Olivier Vernon

Olivier Vernon isn’t a Pro Bowl talent, and it’s not even close. Yet, he has seven sacks in just three games. He’s had games of two, three, and two sacks apiece. If he’s able to have one more game like that against say, the Jets? Then that’d be nine or 10 sacks on the year. That’d be enough to warrant a Pro Bowl nod if some guys ahead of him get injured. It’d also be the least deserving Pro Bowl entry in recent memory.
