3. Jacob Phillips

Jacob Phillips got the start at middle linebacker with B.J. Goodson and Malcom Smith on the Covid/reserve list.

According to PFF, Phillips was the sole Browns’ defensive player who played over 20 snaps. Phillips had 10 tackles, one of which, went for a loss, in addition to a quarterback hit, according to ESPN.

It’ll be interesting to see how Phillips is utilized in the playoff game after this strong performance.  Mack Wilson logged one total tackle, and frankly, his most memorable play of the game was a missed tackle.

Phillips brought incredible speed to the field and sealed the deal on taking down the ball carrier. You can see why the Browns are intrigued by the fifth-round pick.
