2. Michael Dunn

The Browns started a lineman who last played in the XFL–a league that folded in March. Joel Bitonio’s absence (Covid/reserve list) and Dunn’s ascension to the starting lineup was one of the reasons Cleveland fans were loaded with doubts before the game.

For years, we’ve watched the Steelers dominate the line of scrimmage. They were welcoming back Cam Heyward to the defensive line. It was a nightmare scenario we knew was coming, yet could do nothing about.

After the smoke cleared, Dunn might as well have been Bitonio, because you wouldn’t have noticed he was out there–the calling card of a good offensive line performance.  At one point, Dunn had allowed only one quarterback hurry in 23 offensive snaps.

Dunn had to leave the game with about 10 minutes remaining in the game, giving way to Blake Hance, a former Jets practice squad player who Baker Mayfield said he met in the locker room before the game. Usually, that would be joke, but not in the time Covd-19.
