It’ll be interesting to see what the Browns do in terms of the age of player they’ll attempt to bring onto the roster.

Will they go with the vet, as they were willing to do with Watt, or will they go with a younger option?

Lions’ free agent Romeo Okwara would certainly fill that later choice.

He’ll turn 26 in June, but of course, there’s a “Buyer Beware Sticker” sticker affixed to his name. Basically, 2020 was the big outlier in Okwara’s career. Never, in his first four seasons in the league, did he show the gusto for getting to the quarterback.

He totaled 10.0 quarterback takedowns last season, while registering 9.5 sacks total prior to 2020.

Interestingly, Okwara was strong against the run in those years, as he struggled to rush the passer. He struggled in that department last season as he got better at hunting down quarterbacks.

He’s not someone the Browns will break the bank for, but for the right deal, I’d be intrigued to see if he could build off what he did in 2020.
