Browns free agency: 3 players being predicted to sign with Browns
3. Brian Poole
Signing Jets corner Brian Poole comes from ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi. He argued the Browns should try to sign Poole to a one-year, $12 million contract.
He also noted how Poole could either start on the outside opposite of Denzel Ward, or he could move inside as the No. 1 slot corner.
With uncertainty surrounding Greedy Williams, this would be smart signing from the front office. The team is expected to lose Terrance Mitchell in free agency, and since Williams can’t be counted on to stay healthy, The Browns really need to do something that shores up depth at the position.
A trade for Stephon Gilmore would be ideal, but if that doesn’t happen, signing Poole is a great backup plan.
Corner could still be in play in the draft, depending on who’s available.
