Round 4, pick 132, Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama

The Browns finally find a linebacker and it falls in line with how the organization has approached the position in the draft recently.

Even with John. Dorsey picking players (don’t forget Paul DePodesta was chief of strategy), the Browns picked Mack Wilson in the fifth round. Last season, they take Jacob Phillips in the third round.

Jackson believes the Browns will take a committee approach and I tend to agree with him. Like last year, they’ve accumulated bodies. Sione Takitaki and Phillips will play more. Wilson’s there too, and Malcom Smith is back as well. Anthony Parker was signed to be the new B.J. Goodson.

Factor that in with what’s being reported about Joe Woods wanting to use a two-linebacker, three-safety scheme, and it makes sense for the Browns to punt on taking a linebacker.

Moses suffered an ACL tear in 2019 and just wasn’t the same player when he returned in 2020, according to Jackson.
