WR JoJo Natson

The Browns have a shockingly deep receiver corp. Sure, it may not be deep in a year or two, or even a few months from now, but the Browns have a crop of guys to lean on for right now. There’s obviously Jarvis Landry, the team’s all-around best receiver. Then there’s Odell Beckhamr Jr., a player who was once considered one of the best in the league; but no longer. There’s Rashard Higgins and KhaDarrell Hodge, two gritty but not all that fast, kind of players. Then there’s your young speedsters in Donovan Peoples-Jones, and rookie Anthony Schwartz.

Then there’s the return specialists and possible receiver projects in Ryan Switzer and another rookie in Demetric Felton. That’s a lot of bodies ahead of you on the depth chart. So when we talk about players who are likely to be cut, JoJo Natson is an obvious candidate.

Natson didn’t do much in 2020 as a receiver, but he was a solid, if albeit infrequently used returner for the Browns. It seems unlikely that he’ll be back, as he’s very limited offensively but if the Browns really do want more speed, regardless of other skills, Natson may be safe. He has a 4.38 40-yard dash, and that’s pretty impressive.

He’s not a great returner though, nor is he a reliable receiver prospect.
