The trade

The three players the Indians should make a move for are 2B/OF Adam Frazier, their “ace” Tyler Anderson, and just because the Tribe needs to make a move like this eventually, their best player Bryan Reynolds. Reynolds seems unlikely, admittedly, but the Pirates are going nowhere fast and have next to nothing to look forward to. The talk of them competing is a fallacy, because, again, four winning seasons in 28 years. They need to know that they can’t just keep building from the inside out, they need reinforcements in the way of a trade.

Now we’ve talked about before how the Indians’ upper-minors are destroyed and they are. Yet, their lower minors, like Single-A and rookie ball are packed with prospects. The hope is that you can swing a few of them for these three.

Now to Reynolds, you’re going to have to give up a lot. He’s an outfielder who can play either corner spots or center field, plus he hits well, and usually at the top of the order. He’s not a home run guy by any means but if he can hit .300 and bat in 20 home runs over his career in Cleveland, he’d be well worth the money.

So here’s the trade offer.
