Blake Hance/Michael Dunn

Both Blake Hance and Michael Dunn impressed in limited action for the Browns. They both filled in for injured players. Dunn got the start in the Wild Card game against the Steelers and played fantastically in relief of Joel Bitonio. Dunn would end up getting hurt in that same game after showing the world he was for real and then it was Hance’s turn. Hance then delivered an impressive out on par with Dunn’s, making them both interesting prospects.

Both men are about the same size, the same age, and both delivered in their limited playing time, so it’s not a surprise that they’re being paired together once again. With Joel Bitonio’s age and Wyatt Teller‘s injury history, plus the uncertain status of Chris Hubbard, the Browns would be wise to retain the services of both men in preparation for having depth on the line.

You never know when a player may go down with an injury, especially when you can least afford them to. While many rightfully point to the offensive line as a strength, that’s only been due to the depth the line has had. At least eight offensive linemen stepped up and played fantastically last year. You have to have guys ready to go and Hance and Dunn may just be the next break-out duo.
