With news of NBA legend Bill Russell auctioning off, what I presume to be, a treasure trove of sports memorabilia, I got to thinking about Cleveland’s beloved sports teams, and decided to start with the Cleveland Browns.

The assignment was easy: Scour the Internet for the five coolest pieces of Cleveland Browns memorabilia that I would love to get my hands on. Naturally, It was hard to limit my search to just five pieces, as the Browns are a team whose history oozes out of the earholes of the stellar looking orange helmets.

Russell’s auction is making big news, and it comes off the heels of baseball great Johnny Bench auctioning off his personal collection just about a year ago.

Factor in the demand for unique memorabilia is at an all-time high, and Russell is poised to cash in. It seems like every other day some card is selling for $80,000,000. I’m exaggerating of course, but it’s only because I can’t keep up.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get to the Indians and Cavaliers down the road, but with Training Camp down the road and Super Bowl expectations riding high, I decided to take a look at the five coolest pieces of memorabilia I’d like in my collection.

Remember, these are the five pieces I think are the coolest. What would you add or subtract?
