2. It’s boring

Cleveland.com’s Terry Pluto may have said it best: The name is boring. That’s why he’s the best in business. Pluto has the pulse and gets to the point.

I remember hearing the name thrown out as a possibility and having this reaction: “Not bad, but they’ll certainly be able to come up with something a lot better.

Here’s what I don’t understand: The Indians were going to re-brand. Why not go the whole nine-yards and go way out-of-the-box. A new name not suggested on Twitter. New colors. A new logo. It literally could’ve been anything.

I know, some things are easier said than done. There’s a lot of legal work to make sure that no trademarks or copyrights are being infringed upon.

It’ just so similar to what Indians used to be. Maybe that’s by design. I just look at this way: If you’re going to get a once in a hundred year chance to truly rebound, go big, because you’re not going to get another chance.
