2. Cleveland Browns OG Drew Forbes
If Chris Hubbard is on the bubble then you’d certainly have to conclude Drew Forbes is in danger of losing out on a roster spot.
Forbes quickly put himself on the names of Browns in 2019 when it was revealed he was Sports Illustrated’s “Prospect X.” He was selected in the sixth-round that year by then-GM John Dorsey.
He then spent most of the 2019 campaign on injured reserve. Then, he opted out of 2020 due to COVID. Since then, the Browns unearthed Michael Dunn and Blake Hance en route to their magical playoff win against the Steelers ago…leaving Forbes’ future with team in doubt.
Add it all up and Forbes has played nine snaps in two years, while Dunn and Hance were in Heniz Field basically learning on the fly and getting the job done.
Trading Hubbard is a possibility–hopefully getting something for Forbes will pan out as well because in truth, we don’t know if he’s any good. Perhaps he puts something together on tape in the preseason.
