Demetric Felton has thrown a wrench into two offensive skills position groups. He looks like he’s best at catching the football, even though he was drafted as a running back.

Remember, Felton didn’t have a rushing attempt during the preseason opener and then wasn’t really spectacular running the ball against the Giants.

D’Ernest Johnson has also excelled at catching the ball out of the backfield, can rush, and can throw a block when needed. It may not seem like a big deal, but I think his ability to pick up a blitzer is one of the strongest arguments for him to make the team.

In reality, Cleveland isn’t going to cut Felton, because the coaching staff has to recognize his game-breaking ability, so that leaves Johnson in a battle with D’Ernest Johnson for one spot, in my opinion.

Factor in Anthony Schwartz making the roster because he was a third-round pick, then one would think JoJo Natson also makes it. Natson seems to be Cleveland’s only option on the return game.
