6. Cleveland Browns buy Vernon Hargreaves III
The Cleveland Browns need some depth at corner, and with Xavien Howard being too expensive, Texans CB would be a good fit.
He was recently benched by the Texans as Houston shuffles things around looking for any kind of life.
For what it’s worth, PFF forecasted that it would take a 2023 sixth-rounder to get Hargraves, in addition to another late-round pick.
Adding Hargraves isn’t a big splashy deal, but at the very least, Cleveland gets insurance should the team encounter some injuries. Greg Newsome returned from his ankle injury last week and was on a “pitch count,” playing 21 snaps.
Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams have injury histories.. A.J. Green looks promising, but had some tough moments against the Chargers and just needs some more reps.
