2. Cleveland Browns: Baker Freed

More non-sense on social media about Odell Beckham Jr. being freed has Browns fans in the know rolling their eyes.

Rather, it’s Baker Mayfield who’s been freed, as all of a sudden, his shoulder looks like it’s been healed and he’s slinging the rock around the field better than ever.

I don’t know why the OBJ experiment didn’t work, but it didn’t. Mayfield is better without Beckham. The analytics can’t explain it. We’ve seen it with our eyes, over and over and over again, dating back to last season.

All of a sudden, Donovan Peoples-Jones is hot fantasy Football add, while Anthony Schwartz’s speed gives opposing defensive coordinators plenty to worry about.

Mayfield really needed a good game last week, and he delivered. HIs back is still against the wall, as he’s being compared to all of the quarterbacks in his division.

I’m not saying he’s going to re-write the quarterback history book, but I expect more winning plays, much like we saw in Cincinnati now that he’s free to explore the field without Beckham.
