4. Cleveland Browns: New stars on offense

Donovan Peoples-Jones looked like a slam dunk candidate to breakout during training camp, but with the offense in a rut when OBJ was active, the second-year wideout didn’t get off to the start we were all expecting.

That changed in Cincinnati, as DPJ and Baker connected on the deep bomb that we’ve been craving all season.

DPJ only had two catches in the contest, but both were memorable. The other catch came on beautiful placed ball by Mayfield, in which DPJ held on near the goal line as two Bengals decked him out of bounds.

DPJ had missed two games (groin) heading into Cincy, but he actually had begun to string together a couple decent games. There was the Hail Mary, two-touchdown game against Arizona, and he was solid against the Chargers, with five catches for 70 yards.

Elsewhere, I wonder if David Njoku could be a part of the game plan. When he gets the ball, it’s scary for opposing defenses. He’s a big target and just gives more than what Austin Hooper can offer right now.

I also touched on Anthony Schwartz earlier. He’s going to log more snaps and hopefully, we’ll see more plays like this.
