2. Cleveland Browns S John Johnson III

It’s crazy John Johnson III’s become a regular fixture here. Last year, it was Andrew Sendejo. Speaking of Sendejo, I saw some footage of him laughing it up during the Colts win over Buffalo (he’s on Indy’s team).

Ready to cry? Johnson’s grade at PFF: 59.6. Sendejo? Try 61.8. Pick. Up. Jaw. Off. Floor.

Johson’s looking like one of the franchise’s worst free-agent signings of all time.

So, why’s he here this week? Here’s the video evidence (Twitter link). The Lions had no passing game to speak of, so if Dan Campbell’s team was going to score at all, it would be on the ground.

It should’ve been an easy tackle, but Johnson is still scouring the shoreline looking for his lost cleats.

It’s really been incredible how poorly he’s played this season.  As for the rest of the game, he was pretty inconsistent, which just so happens to be NFL Films’ working title of the 2021 Browns recap.

He was a stud with the Rams before joining Cleveland and his decline in play is one of the great mystery’s of this uneven campaign.
