5 Cleveland Browns whose stock is down after great escape vs Lions
4. Cleveland Browns RG Wyatt Teller
How many offensive linemen in the history of game have earned “oooh’s and ahhh’s” form the fan base. Teller seemingly does it on a weekly basis now with every pancake block.
But for as good as a couple of those blocks were, he cost his team, big time, in the penalty department.
Two of these infractions occurred on third down when the Browns had converted. The first one came on 3rd and 10, when Mayfield hit David Njoku for 10 yards. The Browns ended up punting.
In the fourth quarter, as the team was trying to wrap up the game, Teller was flagged for a block in the back toward the end of a play on Nick Chubb’s 16-yard run. It wasn’t necessary.
Teller has been one of this organization’s greatest finds in the expansion era, and he has the potential to be even better. That starts with listing penalties.
