5. Cleveland Browns K Chase McLaughlin
We were waiting for Cleveland Browns kicker Chase McLaughlin to hit a bump in the road, and it happened against the Lions on Sunday.
McLaughlin hooked a 43-yarder to the right, and then had an extra-point try blocked. The block was a fail of the special teams, but either way, that was four points left off the board that the Browns needed for insurances purposes at the end of the game.
Hopefully, this is just a blip on the radar for McLaughlin.
Interestingly, kicks in the 40-yard range are his kryptonite. He’s 4-of-4 from 30-39 yards out, 4-4 from 50 and beyond, but 2-5 on tries between 40-49 yards.
