Cleveland Guardians Viable Options

OF Avisail Garcia: I was banging the drum for Garcia back 2017. It will be 2022, and the Guardians are still in need of solidifying an outfield. He’s viable because he’s affordable. In his age 30 season, the slugger enjoyed a bit of a resurgence, batting 29 homers, while hitting .262 (.820 OPS).

Not my top option, but comparable to the Eddie Rosario signing of last offseason.

Alas, we know how that worked out.

Garcia comes from the Brewers, but has spent a significant amount of time in the AL Central playing for the White Sox.

OF Joc Pederson: I know he just won a World Series, but he was a -0.1 WAR player, meaning he’s affordable. He hit 18 homers last season, driving in 61 runs. His last big season came in 2019 when hit 36 bombs and drove in 71 runs with the Dodgers. He will strike out a lot.
