NFL–Not For Long. That’s all I can think of when it comes to Kevin Stefanski, who was a genius last year at this time as he had the Browns marching toward the playoffs.

Now, the magic is gone and the coach doesn’t have answers. His team continues to shoot itself in the foot with pre-snap penalties and his once high-powered offense has us yearning for the days of Deshone Kizer.

Changes have to come at the Bye and he’s not going to bench his quarterback. It be worth it to try and relinquish play calling, but I’m not sure he’ll do it. NFL coaches are pretty confident in their abilities, and just don’t like admitting defeating so easily.

Besides the penalties, the gadget play to Landry was a disaster. Plus, the empty-sets with Baker Mayfield should be ripped out of the playbook and burned in a great Bye-week bonfire in Berea.

They didn’t work with Freddie Kitchens and they don’t work with Stefanski. Mayfield can’t the ball out quick enough and teams know he has difficulties seeing from pocket. It’s hard to watch.
