2. Cleveland Browns CB Greg Newsome

He doesn’t have an interception yet, but the rookie looks like he’s going to be a star in the league for a long time.

At times, he’s so good in coverage that you could make the case that he’s a top-three defender. While he’s not picked the ball off yet, he’s second among rookies, forcing eight incompletions. Eric Stokes has 10. Patrick Surtain II is third, with seven.

That stat comes from PFF, which makes it stunning to not see Newsome’s name listed among the website’s rookie rankings, which include 15 players.

The Northwestern product noticed, and seems to be using it for motivation.

Newsome has played as advertised and figures to be a part of the Browns for a long, long time.
