3 out-there ideas that could help the Browns on offense

Convert David Njoku to a receiver
I’m in a unique place on David Njoku. He’s having arguably the best season of his career, being super efficient with the opportunities given and while I don’t have the stat in front of me, part of me has to assume he’s been the best big-play receiver for the team. Not bad for a tight end. I’ve not always been very high on the guy but he’s come through for the Browns this year and might be the only reliable option the team has this year.
Still a terrible blocker though.
So let’s get rid of that as an issue. Move him out to receiver full time. Let’s be honest, this three tight-end system doesn’t work. It makes no sense why Kevin Stefanski continually moves guys in and out all game long. It messes up their rhythm and in the case of Njoku, takes your loan big-play threat out of your passing game.
He’s usually only on the field for about 60% of the offensive snaps. Why? It’s not like Austin Hooper is someone you have to worry about. Harrison Bryant could be a good option to throw to but you actually have to get him reps. I know Hooper is mostly there to block these days but finding ways to get Njoku on the field is a must. Putting him against smaller cornerbacks seems like a great idea.
He runs a 4.6 40-yard dash, so don’t tell me he’s “too slow” when Jarvis Landry used to run a 4.8 at his best. Njoku is 6’4 and about 250 lbs, he’s a nightmare matchup. He’d be like Brian Finneran but faster.
