2. Browns potential Baker Mayfield backup: Teddy Bridgewater

If healthy,  Teddy Bridgewater would be intriguing addition to Kevin Stefanski’s offense.

Again, if the Browns can sign Bridgewater, there’s no threat of Mayfield losing the job. Bridgewater’s failures in Denver, along with his injury history, assure Mayfield will stroll into the opener as the incumbent starter.

That said, Bridgewater could look really good playing behind a healthy offensive line, in a system where all that’s required is his management of the offense.

Bridgewater’s health is obviously the thing you’ve got to watch when it comes to brining him on board. If he’s healthy and ready to go, I think he’d be an excellent option in terms of offering a big upgrade over Keenum.
